“How can I get stronger?”
Hey everyone! Welcome to another week here on Tone-and-Tighten.com! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday – if you’re anything like me you’re revving to get back to it and hit it hard this week.
This week’s “Weekly Workout Plan” is dedicated to a number of readers who have recently asked me one simple question: “How can I get stronger?” You don’t need a gym membership or a ton of fancy at-home equipment to gain strength. A little weight-bearing resistance training combined with maybe a pair of dumbbells can go a long way in increasing strength and function… and also helping you to look and feel better! This week’s “Weekly Workout Plan” consists of 5 of my favorite at-home strength-training routines. Do all five this week for increased strength and to take one step closer to your fitness goals!
Side note: Strength DOES NOT equal bulk! By “strength training” I mean stronger, more defined muscles. The majority of workouts I share on Tone and Tighten are designed to do just that – tone lean muscle and tighten areas of “excess”. You will not increase mass by participating in these workouts; READ THIS POST to find out more on the “Tone vs Bulk” idea.
Most of these workouts are to be done in the comfort of your own home with minimal equipment. At most you might need a pair of dumbbells. My dumbbells are my favorite, most valuable, and definitely most used piece of at-home fitness equipment. Completely adjustable (5-105 pounds each) and incredibly versatile. CLICK HERE to see the dumbbells I recommend for most of my readers.
Alright… ready to do this?!

Hi…I LOVE the Tone and Tighten website and pin just about everything that I can to my Pinterest board for future reference during a workout. When I went to pin this particular article (How to get stronger at home – 5 great at-home workouts!) it said that the image size was to small. The image that came up was the bar of the Facebook, Google +, Pinterest, etc, so I was unable to pin it.
Just wanted you to know! Will forever be thankful for Tone and Tighten!!
