One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to throw together. It uses simple ingredients for a marinade – which you probably have sitting in your fridge or pantry RIGHT NOW.

Ingredients in Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken:

  • chicken breasts or thighs
  • lime juice
  • honey
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • garlic cloves (minced)
  • fresh cilantro (roughly chopped)
  • salt and pepper

How to make Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken:

  1. Mix lime juice, honey, oil, soy sauce, garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper together in a gallon-sized resealable bag.
  2. Add in chicken breasts, seal bag, and shake the bag until chicken is covered with marinade.
  3. Let marinade in fridge for at least 2 hours (up to 8 hours for best flavor).
  4. Remove chicken from bag and discard marinade.
  5. Preheat griddle over medium-high heat and cover with a thin layer of olive oil.
  6. Add chicken and cook approximately 5 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches
    degrees F.

How to cook chicken without a grill:

Don’t have a grill? No problem! If you don’t have a grill, you can grill your chicken indoors on a grill pan.

Grease your grill pan with cooking spray and set it over medium-high heat.

Place the chicken on the grill pan and cook for 4 minutes on each side.

Place the grill pan in the oven and cook at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

You could also grill your chicken indoors on a George Foreman grill with no problems.
