Do you even lift?
Here’s the deal – you have to be strength training. Getting up and doing your cardio training is great and all, but if you’re really serious about taking your results to the next level you have to be doing some sort of resistance training. Lifting weights/resisted training will increase your muscle strength, decrease your percent body fat, and give your metabolism a much-needed boost enabling you to actually burn more fat while at rest! Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite at-home strength-training routines and introduce you to my latest fitness tech craze. Check it out…
We’ll get to the workout in just a minute; first you guys have to check out the newest fitness tech that I’m pretty much going crazy over…
We all know that exercising and eating healthy are the two key components to fitness and weight loss, but how exactly do they work together? How can you effectively track them and how can you make them work for you INDIVIDUALLY? There are obviously a lot of fitness trackers out there (I’ve had experience with quite a few of them!) but I’ve never come across any setup like this one from Polar before…
This is the new Polar Balance smart scale. It not only tells you your weight, but actually syncs wirelessly with your Polar wrist activity tracker (pictured with my M400 GPS Running Watch) and Polar Flow app to provide the much-needed link between eating habits/weight loss with daily activity/exercise. You get personalized guidance about your activity and diet that will help you to reach your goal weight! Here’s how it works…
- Set you weight goal and the time frame in which you want to lose the weight.
- Weigh yourself on the Polar Balance scale and your weight will be updated by pressing one button on your wrist unit.
- When synced, the Polar Balance web service will provide both a personalized daily activity goal as well as eating recommendations to help you maintain/reach weight goal.
- These new daily activity goals are automatically updated to your wrist unit when synced with the Polar Flow app.
This scale fills in the gap where I think a lot of fitness trackers/apps are lacking – real-time feedback on your weight with recommendations on your diet – not just your exercise.
Here’s the best part – I’ve teamed up with Polar to offer you 20% OFF the Polar Balance scale or ANY of their amazing activity trackers! Simply use the code “POLARFITBLOG” at checkout to receive your discount; code expires 8/31/16.
Also, this workout will be available as part of an ebook for the #PolarShapeUpChallenge along with many other workouts from other leaders in the fitness industry! You don’t want to miss this one! I’ll get you the link for the ebook just as soon as it becomes available to me.
