Have you ever done and EMOM workout before? It stands for “Every Minute On [the] Minute” and is a killer way to push your body to dig deeper and get more reps than you normally would otherwise. Today I’m sharing an awesome workout that is not only fast and furious, it’s bodyweight resistance only (no equipment required) and you can do it pretty much anywhere. Ready? Here we go!
So I actually got to spend a great deal of last week in “The Happiest Place On Earth” – Disneyland! We went down with my wife’s whole family (all 20 people) and rented a home about 15 minutes from the park. It was incredible! We’ve already forgotten the tired tears and fatigued feet or our 6 and 3 year-olds and they’re asking when we get to go back!
One thing we did find ourselves missing down there was any workout equipment. Normally when you travel you have access to a hotel fitness center, but where we were all in this home together we didn’t have access to anything. Luckily, you don’t need anything to get in a killer workout even on vacation! We ran through a few workouts during our time down there; this one was one of my favorites…
This is a bodyweight EMOM that I developed into more of a “Every TWO Minutes on the Minute” (An ETMOM??). Here’s how it works…
Press start on a timer. You then have 2 minutes to get through 10 reps of each of the following 6 exercises. When the timer reaches 2 minutes you have to do it again. Then again at 4 minutes… then at 6… The quicker you finish your sets the more rest you get between rounds. Complete 7 rounds total for 14 minutes of total-body, calorie-shredding madness!

10 Push-Ups
10 Sit Ups
10 Air Squats
10 Box Jumps (we used stairs)
10 Dips
10 Alternating Jump Lunges (each leg – 20 total)
