My wife and I are always looking for delicious new recipes to try out. This one is inspired from a similar recipe found at Patio Daddio BBQ – we made it over the weekend and it was phenomenal! The smoky chipotle mixed with the sweet tanginess from the lime made an amazing combination! You can eat it as a regular delicious steak or “fajita it out” as we did here with our “Oven Roasted Fajita Vegetables“. Vamanos tastebuds – hope you enjoy it!
1 1/2 – 2 pounds sirloin steak
Marinade
1Tbsp Tabasco chipotle sauce
1 Tbsp minced Garlic (we buy pre-minced; otherwise about 3 cloves)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Chili powder
1 tsp Onion salt
1 tsp Black pepper
Juice from 1 lime
1/4 cup Extra virgin olive oil
Place all the marinade ingredients together in a ziplock bag and knead by hand until well-combined. Add steak. Let it sit in your fridge 2-6 hours (longer for more flavor). Cook over medium-high heat (400-450) to desired doneness.
Can be served on its own or paired with these vegetables for amazing Chipotle Lime Fajitas!
