For those of you who haven’t heard about cross fit training, let me break it down for you: it’s basically a workout that is a high intensity and constantly varied, using functional movements.
HIGH INTENSITY — Intensity is the act of creating power. Basically, power/intensity is how much weight you can move over the longest distance in the shortest amount of time. The goal of Crossfit is to create people who can run farther, move more weight, do more push-ups, flip a tire faster, all while maintaining proper form and technique.
CONSTANTLY VARIED — Always changing the workouts and never letting your body adapt, which is why CrossFit is great for getting results. Your body never gets used to anything so you never reach those plateaus.
FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS —Movements we use in everyday life such as squating, deadlifting, pulling yourself up, etc. By strengthening our bodies by doing these movements, we build actual body strength, actual core stability, agility, and flexibility.
With that being said, here is a great workout you can do in the comfort of your own home!
