At Home Leg Workout With Dumbbells

Get a killer leg workout right at home (or a gym) using only a pair of dumbbells!

Get your dumbbells. It’s leg day.

Here are the moves we are going to be doing in this leg workout with a pair of dumbbells:

  1. Overhead squats
  2. Reverse Lunges
  3. Single Leg Deadlifts
  4. Goblet Lateral Lunges
  5. Dumbbell Heel Raise

 

You don’t need a lot of fancy equipment or gym membership to get a killer shred right at home!

I apologize for any soreness you may experience tomorrow… or do I?? 😉

1. Overhead Squats
overhead dumbbell squatHold your dumbbells high above your head. Keep your chest up and your shoulders back as you drop down into a squat. Use your legs and hips to drive back up into an upright position.
10 reps

 

2. Reverse Lunges
reverse dumbbell lungeStand with both feet together; dumbbells at your side. Kick your left leg as far back behind you as you can and lower yourself into a lunge on the right leg. Return to starting position and then repeat the lunge on the left leg.
10 reps each leg

3. Single Leg Deadlifts

Hold one dumbbell in your right hand. Stand on your left left and reach your right leg as high up behind you as you can, hinging at the hips. Use your left butt muscle to pull yourself back to upright.
10 reps each leg

4. Goblet Lateral Lunge

Can’t forget about those lateral hips! Hold a dumbbell in front of you in a “goblet” position. Instead of dropping into a regular squat drop into a lateral lunge as instructed in the video.
10 reps each leg

5. Dumbbell Heel Raises
single leg heel raise dumbbellYou can do heel raises holding your dumbbells in each hand, but when I’m on stairs my balance tends to suffer. Instead I’ll hold one dumbbell in my hand (left hand) while doing single leg heel raises on my left foot.
20 reps each leg

And now the fun part – repeat it all three times!! (You knew it was coming!)
