If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for ways to change up your workout. I’m constantly trying to find new ways to challenge myself in the gym and hate the thought of doing the same things the same way week in and week out. One of my favorite ways to introduce muscle confusion into my workouts is by introducing some different CrossFit exercises/routines into my weekly schedule (for those of you who may not be all that familiar with CrossFit, click here to be taken to the source of all knowledge… Wikipedia… to see what they have to say about it). When I don’t have time to make it to the gym on a particular day, the following 8 exercises are my “at-home-go-to’s” for a quick, total-body muscle blast. Incorporate these into your home routine, your gym routine, or life in general for some killer, muscle-blasting exercises!
Triceps Dip
Most routines say do it on parallel bars; the at-home version is very effective on a chair, stair, couch, etc.

Push-Up
You know it’s one of my favorites – elevate your feet for a whole new challenge.

Air Squat
Love me some good ol’ squats. In the CrossFit world an “Air Squat” is a squat without weight/resistance.

Pistol
The bigger, meaner, uglier version of the Air Squat. It’s like they thought doing a squat with both legs was too easy…

Box Jump
Can be done on some stairs, instead.

Burpee
“Burpees are my most favorite exercise.” ~ No one ever ~
But you can’t find a better total-body burner without any equipment.

V-Up
Fire up your whole midsection in a hurry with this CrossFit burner.
Lunge
Just like if you want to get anywhere in anything… one foot in front of the other…
