Which option will you choose?
All of us start working out with a goal in mind. Lose weight, gain muscle, look better, feel better, etc. Our goal is the ultimate factor that starts to drive us towards actions… most of the time. Upon reaching the conclusion of what your ultimate goal is all of the sudden you’ve come to the most crucial part in this journey – what is your next step? This leads us to today’s Fitness Motivation – your decision at this point ultimately determines your fitness destiny…
You can wish for it or you can go out and make it happen!!
Unfortunately I think there are plenty of people who choose the first option. Be honest with me – how many workouts or motivational pictures have you pinned on Pinterest and then nothing ever becomes of them? How many of these inspiring images do you read or download, think to yourself “I should really start doing that”, and then nothing ever becomes of it? These wishes, while an excellent place to start, are never going to yield results!
The second option is to make it happen! Have the courage to make the changes to actually start to pursue your goals! Next time you’re in the grocery store go to the fruit aisle instead of the cookie aisle. Wake up 10 minutes earlier tomorrow and do something that makes you sweat. Take a walk outside after dinner instead of sitting on the couch and watching TV. These lifestyle changes, no matter how small, are steps in the right direction. Remember – the power lies completely in you. Stop wishing and start doing!
