“It’s too early.”
“I don’t have the time.”
“But I ate healthy all day.”
On any given day there are countless reasons why you can’t be healthy. From not having the time to cake tasting so much better than carrot sticks, excuses for a healthy lifestyle are abundant. The question that I’ve always asked is – WHY?? Why is it so easy to come up with any and every reason to NOT live healthily? Of all the answers that I’ve come up with for excuses that exist there’s one answer that seems to fit every excuse imaginable… IT’S EASY. Why wake up when you can sleep in? Why sweat in the heat during a run when you can sit comfortably on a couch with the air conditioning running? Why take effort to prepare a healthy meal when the pizza man is a simple phone call away? The answer to these questions is what ultimately led me to today’s fitness motivation…
Excuses Don’t Burn Calories
Nothing really worth having in this life ever came without a price; fitness is certainly no exception. If you want it bad enough you have to be willing to sacrifice ease and convenience for a little planning, sweat, and hard work. Calories will always be more difficult to burn than to consume, however the results of healthy eating and working out regularly will always outweigh the alternative.
So do something healthy today! Start making healthy lifestyle changes that will ultimately result in a longer, healthier life. Stop making excuses, and start seeing results. You can do it!
