We all have goals. We all have dreams. We all have desires. These are the reasons why we engage in the behaviors that we do, especially in the world of personal fitness. Maybe we want to lose 5 pounds. Maybe the goal is to fit back into those skinny jeans or increase the size of your arms. Whatever your goal may be it is the reason why you decide to give so much to pursue it. Unfortunately, these dreams are not realized overnight. Goals, especially fitness goals, are rarely met in one day. Whatever your goal may be, If I could just remind you of this one constant truth – change takes time.
It’s been said that it takes 4 weeks for you to notice a difference, 8 weeks for family/friends to notice a difference, and 12 weeks for everyone else. The most important part of change is not the degree of actual change itself, but consistency in working towards it. Don’t get discouraged with lack of results if you don’t see them immediately. KEEP PUSHING! KEEP STRIVING! Work hard everyday and most importantly never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever give up. You will see 100% more change from doing something than you will from doing nothing, guaranteed.
You can chase down your dreams. You can make your goals a reality. Push forward, with consistency, keeping your sights set on the reason you started out in the first place. Achieving that goal is the sweetest reward.
