Staring down the cookie aisle and pushing your cart right past it.
Being healthy is hard! It requires a great deal of sacrifice, hard work, and commitment to lead a healthy lifestyle. How much easier would it be to sleep in, eat whatever you wanted, and enjoy some wonderful time relaxing on the couch? The answer – infinitely easier… and that’s why the majority of people do them. So why do you do it? Why do you choose to swim upstream and refuse to be “normal”? Why do you choose fitness over ease and comfort?
Sacrifice is giving up something that matters for something that matters more. It’s refusing to accept the mediocre and mundane because you know that something greater exists. That’s why you do it. That’s why you push, pull, sweat, run, and otherwise push yourself to your limits. You realize that the path of least resistance is too easy a hike and you want something more. You want to climb mountains and shout from the peaks! Whatever your reason- for you, for your body, for your spouse, for your kids, for your grandkids, to fit into that dress, to look amazing at the beach, to climb the stairs without losing your breath – whatever your goal may be you can achieve it! Hard work + determination = results. Because the truth is it’s not easy… and you’re not everyone.
