My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year… I decided to put my wish-list online in the form of a blog post! Here are my Top-20 gift ideas for that “man of fitness” in your life! Everything he needs to enjoy a fit, active, toned, and tightened 2014! Hope you find it useful! (click on the pics to be taken to Amazon.com)
1. Nike Plus Fuelband
-Detects not only your activity throughout the day but also your intensity! Best pedometer on the market.
2. Sport Armband for iPhone/iPod touch
Great armband case for your iPhone/iPod 5! Super sturdy and completely enclosed.
3. Beats Headphones Earbuds
While we’re on music… best earbuds for the price!!! I also love the over-te-ear style to keep them in place while exercising!
4. Foam Roller
A must-have for any fitness enthusiast – probably the most-used item in my physical therapy gym! Not a day goes by that I don’t use the phrase… “let’s go roll it out”!
5. TRX Home Suspension System
My go-to home gym system. The TRX system is the most inexpensive and best “bang-for-your-back” home gym system. (Caution- usually requires some sort of drilling/anchoring… but well worth it!)
6. Camelbak Hydration Pack
Mine goes with me EVERYWHERE! Mountain biking, skiing, trail running, hiking, etc… best hydration system available!
7. Perfect Push-Up
Great way to enhance your home push-up routine. Rotating handles improve shoulder mechanics throughout the push-up motion.
8. TomTom Runner GPS Watch
A MUST for any running/cycling enthusiast. Tracks anything and everything you need to know about where you went and how you did it. Distant, speed, elevation change, etc…
9. P90X DVD Series
The original HIIT series – guaranteed to get you shredded in no time… well… 90 days, anyway…
10. Any apparel by Under Armour
You can never have enough work-out shirts – I love anything Under Armour
11. BlenderBottle with Blenderball
I love this shake-blender for protein shakes. There’s nothing worse than a clumpy protein shake; the blenderball does a great job incorporating everything in the drink.
12. Perfect Fitness Ab Carver Pro
I love anything “ab-wheel”… this Ab Carver is a great one! Awesome way to work your whole body – arms, shoulders, chest, and especially abs!
13. Bowflex Adjustable Dumbbell
A whole dumbbell rack without all the space. Select your weight (5-52.5 pounds) and you’re good to go!
14. Kettle Bell
One of the best pieces of home equipment you can buy. Small and doesn’t take up a lot of space, but extremely versatile. (Click here for a great total-body kettle bell workout)
15. Irongym Total Body Workout Bar
Best pull-up bar out there. I love this one because it works on any doorframe without any screwing/mounting necessary; your body weight holds it in place.
16. Mio Alpha Strapless Heart Rate Monitor
The best watch-style heart rate monitor right now. No chest straps and a great way to monitor your intensity during your workout.
17. Insanity
The next level in HIIT – an at-home fitness DVD must!
18. Altra Running Shoes
A local Utah running company, and about the best shoes that I’ve found!!! Low-profile with a minimal drop and HUGE toe box allowing for improved running style. Barefoot in your shoes!
19. Bosu Ball
Squats, lunges, push-ups, balance… any exercise can be enhanced with a Bosu ball. Another one of my favorite go-to’s in the PT clinic
20. Exercise Gloves
Protect your hands no matter what the activity. I like the finger-less models but there are tons of different styles available!
Hope this helps! Got another gift idea that I didn’t mention here? Leave a comment below and I can add it to my wish list!!
Make it happen,
Jared

I can’t imagine working out without my polar ever again! If I ever forgot it for the gym I think I’d be so upset, haha. I love it 🙂 x
