“I don’t have the time.”
“I’m not too sure where to start.”
“I don’t have the right equipment.”
“I need a gym membership first.”
And the list goes on, and on, and on. There will always be a million reasons telling you not to work out. There will always be things that come up that can potentially get in the way and knock you off course. How do you really ever exercise? What’s the best way to get into a routine you can stick with? If I can offer you one piece of advice as you disembark on any new fitness endeavor…
The first step is always the hardest.
I can pretty much promise you there will be frustration. There will be trials. There will be discomfort, sweat, soreness, and occasionally even a desire to give in. But I can also promise you that if you stick with it there will be strength. There will be confidence. There will be the ability to do what you never though possible. There will be success, triumph, and ultimately happiness. So please – please – have the courage to take that first step and have the determination to stick with it. I promise that as you start seeing these results there will be a change occur. You’ll start to wonder how you’ll ever stop.
