Here are the reasons why:
1. The basic features (which is really all that you need) are free.
2. Tracks both your eating and your fitness in one convenient place, making it easy to see where you need to make changes.
2. You can connect with family and friends and encourage each other to keep going.
3. Easy to use and navigate- even someone who isn’t too familiar with phone apps can maneuver this one.
4. Helps you set realistic weight loss and fitness goals and lets you know what you need to do to reach those goals.
5. There are over 2 million food entries in it’s database, including dishes from popular restaurants, natural foods, and even prepackaged food from the grocery store.
6. If you can’t find a food in the database, you can easily add it- just plug in the stats from the nutrition label and save it to the database. (If you don’t know the nutrition facts for one of your own recipes, you can enter the recipe at My Recipe Magic and it will generate the nutrition facts for you!). Click here to learn how.
7. At the end of each day, it gives you a “snapshot” of how your day went and an estimate of how long it will take you to reach your goals if you were to repeat the same pattern everyday. It’s perfect to let you evaluate your performance, where you need to improve, and how you can better reach your goals.
8. There are over 350 different forms of cardio and strength training exercises in the database (and it even includes things such as light cleaning! My wife loves that she can count that!).
9. It automatically computes graphs that track your fitness, eating, and weight loss/gain, which make it easy to see where you need to make changes.
10. There are places to record your measurements besides just your weight. Sometimes “weight” isn’t the best way to track fitness- your body will lose inches too and it’s a great way to see your progress.
Have a great day!

I love the fact that you can create your own recipe and save them to your food log (ie I usually make egg turkey spinach omelet, so it’s nice to just have that saved as opposed to going thru each ingredient Every day)
I also like that I can customize Which things I want to show like I switched out sodium for fiber in my daily entry tracking

How do I log steps or general walking? Not power walking, slow walking at my treadmill desk? I can’t figure that out. And, since I’m no longer eating prepackaged meals, what is the best way to enter the food? Weigh the fruit or the veggies? Guess if it was a medium banana? I’m really lost on how to account for my eating when I eat 3 dates for a snack. Are guesses better than just not knowing? I want to learn, but I don’t have time to figure it all out!

You have definitely sold me on putting My Fitness Pal back on my phone. I really need to keep track of my meals better than I am now. Maybe it will help me remember to take time to eat breakfast. I am so bad about that!

Fitness can be gained by two method that are through exercise and proper and nutritious diet. Both of these process are used for keeping the body fit and fine. These are used for reducing fat, enhancing the formation of muscular cell in body as well as used for liberating energy boost within the body for more workout.

I have been using my fitness pal for 4 months now and I love it. At the start I found it difficult weighing & logging everything I ate but it didn’t take too long until I got the hang of it. Also if you carry the phone on you while exercising MFP counts the steps & calculates the calories burned. But most of all it shows your weight loss in a graph. By sticking mainly to my daily allowed calories I have lost 14kg. Thanks MFP I couldn’t have done it without you!!

What I also find that is really good about my fitness pall, is that you can connect it with endomondo, so when you go to jogging, biking etc and you use endomondo, the calories you burned will be automatically added to your my fitness pall account. (you just need to allowed it in settings) 🙂
