Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the buzz in the air and that everyone is a little more loving, thoughtful, and generous.

While growing up, Christmas Eve was always something I looked forward to. We still get together with my side of the family and have pretty much the same traditions we did while I was growing up.

Christmas Eve always includes lots of yummy food, the traditional present game, and ends with opening new pajamas and taking goofy pictures. Here’s a picture from last year! I have ten kids, so most of those are mine — with a few cousins mixed in.

Appetizers are always a part of the party, so I decided to create a healthy holiday appetizer to share with you. It was made super easy by using Mezzetta products! It eliminated a lot of the chopping and added a zing to these veggie roll-ups that the whole family loved.

Ingredients

4 flour tortillas
1 pkg cream cheese
8 slices of ham or turkey deli meat (optional)
1 cup chopped veggies (anything you like)
1/2 cup Mezzetta veggies

Instructions

Spread 2 oz. of softened cream cheese on each tortilla.
Top with deli meat and veggies.
Roll tortilla up tightly, then roll tightly in plastic wrap, making sure to tuck in the ends so the tortilla doesn't dry out.
When ready to serve, remove from plastic wrap and slice into pinwheels.

Notes

I used the Mezzetta Italian Mix Giardinieria mixed vegetables in these photos. The pepperoncini peppers or any of the Mezzetta olives would be an awesome addition as well.
If you want the pinwheels to hold together nicely, don't skip the step where you wrap them in plastic wrap.
