Total Body Dumbbell Workout – The most comprehensive dumbbell workout out there!

Grab your dumbbells and hang on tight.
 
I LOVE free weights. Not only are they a little more versatile than machines and even barbells, but I’ve got an amazing set in my basement that my wife gave me for Christmas (very similar to this one – if you’ve ever thought about getting a weight set I HIGHLY recommend it!)! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite exercises that make up my go-to total-body dumbbell routine. It’s one of my favorite workouts – hope you feel the same! Part of the “What I Worked Wednesday” series here on Tone-and-Tighten.com.

Warm up – 5-10 minute jog; treadmill or around the block!

Circuit 1 (Performed a, b, c until all 3 sets of 10-12 reps have been completed)
 
a. Overhead Dumbbell Squats

b. Dumbbell Bench Press

c. Bent Over Rows

__________________________________________________________________
Circuit 2 (performed a, b, c until all 3 sets of 10-12 reps have been completed)
 
a. Dumbbell Lunges

b. Clean and Press
dumbbell clean and press
c. Decline Sit Ups with Dumbbell
Looks like this except you’re holding a dumbbell straight up towards the ceiling while doing your sit ups.

    I had a question about this workout/circuit………I see it says to perform 10-12 reps 3x of a, b c,….so is that 10-12 of the A – and then 10-12 of B and so on for each circuit – OR is it 10-12 of A then B then C then repeat that 2x more……
    thanks!

    Also do you offer any workouts similar to the Les Mills Pump?

      The second one! 10 reps A, 10 reps B, 10 reps C, and then repeat that series. The idea is that you’re “resting” group A while working group B and so forth… cuts your workout time in half!
