“You want me to do HOW MANY reps??” 

The first time someone told me about this shoulder workout – I’m not gonna lie – I thought it was a joke! “You want me to do how many deltoid flies??” And then I realized my buddy was serious. 3 sets of 100.

Little did I know this would rapidly become one of my very favorite shoulder workouts! Probably the best one that I’ve found for carving out incredible definition in the upper arm. Try it out- it’s sure to add some variety in your workout routine.

As a physical therapist who happens to also work in a gym, I also see a lot of people performing exercises incorrectly.

Now performing reps incorrectly not only hurts the gains you’re so desperately chasing, it also increases your susceptibility to injury.

Therefore  – it’s vital that when you perform your exercises you do them correctly with good form!

I am a huge fan of free weights. I love using dumbbells and barbells while working out to maximize my time and my efficiency.

 

If you’re going to spend time and effort weight training there’s simply no more efficient way to do it.

 

By eliminating stability offered by different machines your muscles have to work harder to stabilize through certain motions and activities.

 

This results in more muscle activity and a more efficient workout overall (I actually wrote a post on this topic – check out Free Weights vs Machines).
